The fixtures are now on this website. The majority of the kickoff times will be 7.0pm. KO times for ‘double’ games will be announced in due course.

We’re working hard to assess how many strips are missing. Again if anyone has a strip from the 2019 season bring it down to Morriston any Monday, Wednesday or Friday evening. No questions asked.

Registration for players for the new season is going well and we hope to put on a full season of football. Many of our coaches from the 2019 season will continue (many thanks to them) but equally others have moved on and will not return (again thanks to them). This leaves an opportunity for new coaches to get involved at all levels – Juniors, Intermediates and Seniors. No particular qualifications in football coaching are required just the ability to organise a group of boys into a team of world beating players. No - seriously enthusiasm and common sense are the key things we look for. If you do have a coaching qualification – so much the better. The emphasis of the Club is having fun in a competitive environment, fairplay and sportsmanship.

All coaches are required to be PVG checked (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) – this is the case for all adults supervising youth activities not just football. We have no mandatory requirement to be Covid vaccinated but we do need to follow Scottish Government regulations at the time the season starts.

If you are interested or would like to know more please email me at . Better still come along to our AGM on Thursday 10th March at Boroughbriggs (Elgin City Football Club). Without coaches we can’t run the Club.

The registration process for playing this season is much the same as previous seasons with payment may now be made on-line. The cost for the season is being held at pre-Covid prices - £25 – but this is not payable until the season starts. The reason being that we are cautious about taking payments in case Covid returns and restrictions are re-imposed.

Follow the instructions at the link to the right, remembering that White forms are for boys that are returning to the Club from previous years and Blue forms are for first timers. READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY.

The Parental Consent form is incorporated into the process. All details that you give us is placed on our encrypted database and will be held only for the administration of the Club. It is also bound by the General Data Protection Regulations. All the information you require and conditions for joining the Club are contained in the application form.

For cash or cheque payments only we will take payments at Morriston in the first week of play. For card payments these will be taken on-line but again not until play starts (week starting 18th April).

Places for the new season tend to be filled quickly so don’t leave it till the last minute – first come first served. Registration closes on Sunday 6th March at 10pm. Further information on team allocations, coaches fixtures etc. will be given on this website in due course.

For those joining for the first time there is some information about the Club on our Homepage as well as rules and regulations.

Whilst ideally we would want all registrations to be completed on line, we realise that not all folks have access to the Internet. If you know of anyone in this situation you can help by printing off a copy of the forms from the home page and hand them on.

After two years in the wilderness due to to Covid the Boys Club are back and with a bit of luck and hard work we should be able to put on a season of football at Morriston starting in April when the schools go back. The exact format may be different from previous years depending on the number of players who register, the availability of coaches and of the restrictions imposed by government due to Covid.

We will carry out a risk assessment leading to a set of rules which will apply to all involved (players, parents/ guardians, coaches, referees etc.) in playing. These will be published on our website in good time before play starts.

Our target date for the start of on-line registration is 14th February. Arrangements will be made for those without internet access. The fee is being held at £25 per player but will not be taken until the season starts (in case of eventualities).

If you intend registering to play please discuss this with your family. As with all Covid related matters this will affect them as well as yourself. You still need your parent or guardian's permission anyway.

Keep a look out for further information on this website and Facebook.

Fingers crossed that all goes well.
